Ephesians 4:12– To equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ, (NET)
Colossians 2:7-Rooted and built up in Him and firm in your faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (NET)
Colossians 3:12–So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper];(AMP)
- To Deepen our relationship with God and other believers.
- To present ourselves approved to God and accurately handling the word of truth.
- To experience life transformation through the power of God.
- To put biblical precepts into practice for our spiritual growth.
- To be effective witness and ambassador of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:15–Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. (NASB)
2 Corinthians 5:17– Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. (AMP)
Romans 12:1-Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. (AMP)
Romans 12:2-And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. (AMP)
In the bible study group can be a place to celebrate our life’s victories, get prayer support, be encouraged in tough times, and keep ourselves accountable in our personal growth. As we encounter God’s Word together, we are here to build up a relational fellowship with the brethren and the opportunity to share our different insights to broadened our interaction.
Hebrews 10:24-Let us consider how we can stir up one another to love. Let us help one another to do good works. (NIRV)
Hebrews 10:25–And let us not give up meeting together. Some are in the habit of doing this. Instead, let us encourage one another with words of hope. Let us do this even more as you see Christ’s return approaching. (NIRV)
